Text in Italian. 59 photographs taken in France; Italy, New York; Arizona; New Mexico; California; Florida; Hawaii; Tahiti, et al.  With chronology and bibliography.  In 1951, Dennis Stock (1928-2010) won a first prize in a Life magazine competition for young photographers. That same year, he became an associate member of the photography agency Magnum. He became a full partner-member in 1954.  Stock is best known for his photographs of the actor James Dean in Indiana (included in this book) and his photographs of jazz musicians but most of this book contains his photographs of nature in brilliant saturated color.
