Giuseppe Ripa (b. 1962) is a contemporary Italian fine-art photographer known for his introspective, contemplative, and poetic visual studies of landscapes, sacred spaces, and architectural environments. Born in Ragusa, Sicily, he completed classical studies in Rovereto and graduated with a degree in business administration from Bocconi University in Milan, where he ultimately established his practice. Ripa’s work moves beyond conventional documentary representation, relying on soft light, long exposures, intentional blurs, and ethereal compositions to explore spiritual themes, memory, and the philosophy of symbolic forms. His multi-year global journeys across Asia, Europe, and the Americas have yielded notable photobooks published by Charta and Dario Cimorelli Editore, including Anima Mundi (2004), Il Sorriso del Buddha (2003), Memories of Stone (2007), Tibet (2007), and Liminal (2011).
