Stiff illustrated wraps.  Like new with slight rubbing on cover and original price label on verso. 112 pages.  Fallon’s black and white mostly street photography of Liverpool, England, about half taken in 1969 and 1970.  Fallon left Liverpool in 1973 and the other photos were taken on visits over the years. Includes autobiographical introduction by Fallon. 

Bernard Fallon is a British photographer, painter, and educator celebrated for his street photography documenting urban life and cultural transitions in post-war England. A graduate of the Liverpool College of Art and the Leicester Polytechnic School of Photography, Fallon began capturing candid, documentary-style black-and-white images of his hometown during the mid-1960s and 1970s. His early work preserves a vital visual history of Liverpool’s working-class neighborhoods, changing architecture, and street culture, which was later featured in a major exhibition at the Liverpool Museum Conservation Centre and published in his acclaimed monograph Bernard Fallon's Liverpool: Photographs 1966–1974. Later relocating to Southern California, Fallon expanded his creative practice to encompass fine art plein air painting and teaching, holding memberships in institutions like the California Art Club while remaining recognized as a key photographic chronicler of mid-twentieth-century Merseyside.
