Henry Holt, 1994. 1st edition, 1st printing.  Illustrated boards, lacks dust jacket, fine except remainder mark at top of text block.  Primarily landscape photos that Ken Robbins has colored expertly by hand, with accompanying titles and texts by him.  All except four photos in the book are by Robbins.  An enjoyable book with informative explanations about water, suitable for both adults and young people.

Ken Robbins is an American author, photographer, and former book editor widely celebrated for his non-fiction children's books featuring distinct hand-tinted photography. Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1945, he graduated from Cornell University in 1967 and worked as an editor at Doubleday before transitioning to full-time writing and photo-illustration. Robbins has created over twenty critically acclaimed picture books covering natural phenomena, everyday objects, and transportation, including titles such as Autumn Leaves, Apples, Pumpkins, and Tools—the latter earning him a place on The New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Books list. Characterized by his rich, painterly hand-coloring techniques overlaid on fine black-and-white photographs, his artistic work skillfully bridges documentary realism with visual art to educate and inspire young readers.
