A re-photography book with pairs of images, each one to a page, one historic in black and white and the other contemporary in color, depicting Miami, Florida, then and now.  The historic photos are drawn from more than two dozen institutional archives.  Most of the “now” photos are by Simon Clay.  Subjects include streets, commercial buildings, mansions, schools, churches, library, beaches, government buildings, Miami River, hotels, clubs, apartments, et al.  Simon Clay is a professional British photographer specializing in automotive photography, portraits, interiors, landscapes and architecture and has been published widely.
