Visions of Faith: Photographs by Wendy Ewald and Children (1999) is an exhibition catalog published by the Ackland Art Museum at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, curated by Wendy Ewald and Ray Williams.

The book and corresponding project stem from Ewald's signature collaborative methodology, in which she provides children with cameras and guidance to document their own lives, communities, and inner worlds. Organized into chapters representing diverse religious traditions, the publication explores how children from various cultural and spiritual backgrounds visualize faith, sacred traditions, and their relationship to the divine through the unmediated lens of photography.

Wendy Ewald is an American photographer and educator renowned for her collaborative social practice, in which she provides cameras and instruction to children and communities worldwide to help them document their own lives, identities, and environments. Born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1951, she studied photography at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned her BA from Antioch College. Over a decades-long career, Ewald has worked with communities across the United States and internationally—including Appalachia, Colombia, India, and South Africa—blending participatory art with education, founding the Literacy Through Photography program, and receiving numerous honors including a MacArthur Fellowship.
