Appears to be a complete run of 24 issues from February 1981 to February 1986, plus two issues of Available Light, newsletter of the SPE Mid-Atlantic Region, from 1985. Newsletters contain information about upcoming conferences, grants and fellowships available, exhibitions, reports from SPE regions, photography teaching job openings at colleges and universities, et al., SPE regional contact officers, SPE Board of Directors minutes, Chairperson's reports to the members, membership meeting minutes, treasurer's reports, speeches made at conferences, summer workshops, news about members such as appointments, changes to By-Laws, biographies and statements by candidates for SPE leadership positions, obituaries (including of Ansel Adams after his passing in 1984 and Claudette Bargreen Dibert who was electrocuted when a lamp fell into the water while she was doing underwater photography in 1983), profiles of photography departments at universities such as Cornell University, and other information of relevance to the photography teaching profession. The two issues of Available Light include a substantial autobiographical article by David S. Lavine and a long article on Diane Arbus by Carol O'Connor.
